NotchLC Performance
NotchLC is a high-quality, GPU powered video codec for video playback, made by the creators of Notch. We have found NotchLC to be generally a bit more demanding when it comes to using CPU and GPU resources. That being said, its optimal compression settings may provide higher quality when compared to standard HAP codec.
Server Performance
In our testing environment, we used a 30sec section (00:00:10:000-00:00:40:000) from the famous Sam Swordsmith videos, encoded with NotchLC.
