Improvements

There are 3 new improvements in this epic.

LA4-6507: Play Mode Timecode Skipping

Using 30 fps MTC with a 60 fps timeline in Timecode play mode causes frames 30–59 to be skipped, jumping from 29 to 1 each second. Expected: seamless 60 fps playback that correctly maps 30 fps timecode without frame loss.

Status: Code Review | Requesters: SUP

LA4-6496: Undo Stack

Add an Undo Stack menu beneath Redo. Selecting it opens a compact viewer, similar to the Console window, that displays the current machine’s undo history with timestamps and concise command details.

Status: Done

LA4-6476: Better Watches For Integers That Appear As Dropdowns

Fixed Watch display for integer output pins rendered as dropdowns. It now shows the selected label with its integer value, e.g., “test [0]” instead of just “test,” improving clarity.

Status: Done

Mapping Improvements For 4.13

Enhanced CanvasMaps and OutputMaps windows for improved speed and convenience during large-scale events.

Improvements

There are 1 new improvements in this epic.

LA4-6223: Absolute Mappings Instead Of Relative

Improved Subarea mapping reliability by switching coordinates from floats to integers. This prevents off-by-one rendering errors (like a missing 1px on the right edge) when mapping images to Canvas—for example, a 1000x600 PNG with 200x200 tiles. Coordinates are now stored and rendered with exact pixel alignment.

Status: Done | Requesters: SUP

Crossfade Upgrades For 4.13

Enhanced crossfade functionalities and workflows for timeline programming.

Features

There are 2 new features in this epic.

LA4-3781: Crossfade Property To Section

Sections now include Crossfade settings via a dropdown with Inherit or Fade. Choose Fade to set Crossfade time (s); choose Inherit to use Timeline properties. Crossfade time is always taken from the destination (section or layer) only—never combined.

Status: Done

LA4-6343: Timeline Crossfade Property

Added a Cross-fade time [s] property to the Timeline, mirroring the option in Layers. Define transition duration in seconds for smoother crossfades and consistent control across timeline items.

Status: Done

LA4-6342: Layer Fade Properties And Crossfade Upgrade

Layer’s cross-fade dropdown has 2 options: Inherit, which means the Layer’s crossfade is inherited from the section’s properties and Fade where the user has an option to manually set the crossfade property of that layer.

Status: Done

Other Upgrades

There are 1 new upgrades in this epic.

LA4-6508: Play And Pause Doesn't Progress Across The Section Even After Pressing Space

Fixed an issue where pressing Space at the end of a section did not consistently advance playback to the next section. The playhead paused at the boundary and only sometimes progressed after multiple key presses, even after resizing sections. Playback now reliably continues into the next section on a single Space press.

Status: Done
